Course Description:


The position of the incident safety officer is identified within the incident management system as used within the emergency response community, this position requires a person to have an understanding of emergency operations including but not limited to; fire suppression, emergency medical operations, technical operations, hazardous materials operations and other emergencies that an agency could be called to, understand building construction, fire behavior, fireground operations, fire fighter safety, risk management and development of IAP’s.

Certification:


Candidates shall be at least 18 years of age. Complete a practical skills evaluation with a "Passing" score. Complete an 80 question written examination with a passing score of 70% or higher.
