Louisiana FETA – Real-Life Props, Real-Live Training

At the Louisiana Fire & Emergency Training Academy (FETA), our philosophy is simple: Combine real-life props with an experienced and knowledgeable staff to deliver the most realistic training experience available. With safety in the forefront of everyone’s mind, we design emergency scenarios to train the emergency response community to be better prepared for and ready to respond to real-world emergencies.

The schedule for National Fire Academy offerings in Louisiana is available. Click here to see the training schedule ».

**The VA requires that all prior courses, credits and military training/experience be evaluated for potential transfer credit towards a student’s training program. Transcripts must be turned in prior to the start of a training program.  Each transfer student will have their previous training and courses evaluated prior to their enrollment at the Training Academy.  Appropriate credit will be given for any applicable transfer credit/prior training and experience at the time a prior credit evaluation is completed. Recruit Academy

Firefighting is internationally known as an honorable and trusted profession for its sense of selflessness and efforts to help other people. Because of the dangers involved in the profession, and even in the training for it, proper training, physical ability and discipline are paramount. The FETA Recruit Fire Academy course is designed for entry-level firefighters and is taught under the same paramilitary chain of command used in today’s fire departments.
