Description: A person qualified as a confined space rescue technician level I/II has the ability to respond to a confined space rescue environment and perform confined space rescues while operating as a member of a team, assess the scene, conduct a size-up, determine necessary resources, manage the incident using the incident command system and protect victims by providing medical care. Confined space rescue technician has demonstrated the ability to conduct air monitoring, sampling for possible hazardous materials, set up single-point anchor and hauling system, descend and ascend a rope system, preform necessary tasks as a litter attendant and conclude scene activities with rope and equipment maintenance.

Requirements for Certification: Candidates shall be at least 18 years of age. Complete a practical skills examination with a "Passing" score. Complete an 100 question written examination with a passing score of 70% or higher.
