Course Description:


This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to perform lifting and moving heavy objects as seen in US&R incidents. Over the course of two days, you will gain a basic understanding of physics as it relates to weight and gravity; basic rigging; and operating hand tools, levers, and stabilization devices consistent with DHS/FEMA. This course is one of the many components offered in the structural collapse rescue class and complements the Air Bag Operations course we offer here at FETA. Participants are required to bring the following PPE: an approved helmet, steel toe boots, gloves, and eye protection.

The second price applies to all non-Louisiana Municipal Fire Departments including state agencies (in-state and out-of-state), out-of-state fire departments, federal agencies, and the private sector, etc.
