Superintendent

Chief Andy Woody

As Superintendent, my top priorities for the Fire Academy are:
  1. Expanding Our Reach: We aim to increase our presence and active participation both within the State and beyond the fire service community.
  2. Curriculum & Test Bank Validation: Ensuring the accuracy and validity of our curriculum and testing materials is critical to maintaining the highest training standards.
  3. Pursuing Alternative Funding: In order to supplement our budget, we will seek alternative funding opportunities to support and enhance our programs.
  4. Regional Training Cohorts: We will work to develop regional training cohorts that bring top-tier training to local communities, increasing accessibility and participation.
  5. Building a Premier Destination: Our goal is to elevate the Fire Academy’s value to the fire service, transforming it into a premier destination for fire training and professional development.
By focusing on these key areas, we will continue to strengthen our academy and its impact on the fire service.
